Our client is seeking a Photonics Design Expert to develop cutting-edge silicon photonics devices and products. In this role, you will lead concept studies, design advanced photonic components, and drive innovation from R&D to New Product Introduction (NPI).

Key Responsibilities:
Design and model advanced silicon photonic components and circuits
Validate designs through rigorous test planning and statistical analysis
Define PIC-based system architectures for groundbreaking applications
Collaborate with global teams to bring innovations to market
Engage with stakeholders to secure funding and drive R&D success

Requirements & Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
5+ years of experience in silicon photonics and III-V component design/testing
Strong expertise in PIC integration, EICs, RF ICs, and photonic system design
Hands-on experience with photonics modeling tools: Photon Design, Lumerical, COMSOL, CST
Proficiency in layout tools: Tanner L-Edit, Luceda Ipkiss
Experience with Python, VPI software is an advantage
Fluent English; Dutch or Chinese is a plus
