Job Description

Our Transportation team currently have a vacancy in our Swindon office to act as a Signalling Administrator within one of our regional signalling teams the post holder will undertake the administrative tasks necessary to support a dedicated Signalling design team based in Swindon.

Here’s what you’ll do:

The Signalling Administrator will provide administrative support to the discipline, primarily in terms of controlling, and issuing of design deliverables. They will also support the Signalling Manager and other team members more generally with such activities as, progress reporting, records requesting, records control, records return etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working Independently undertake the Project and Quality Delivery

  • Ensure deliverables are controlled and issued in accordance with client and governance requirements for Signalling and associated projects.

  • Request Signalling records etc.

  • Partake in lessons learned reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Ensure that the technical processes and procedures for the issue / delivery of discipline outputs are followed.

  • Work closely with other Signalling team members to support them with all appropriate tasks.

Beneficial:

  • Experience in the delivery of Rail projects

  • Experienced in the use of common data environments such as ProjectWise.

  • Experienced in the use of all MS Office packages.

  • Familiarity with office technology and equipment, including computers, scanners, printers, etc.

  • Experience in arranging for the maintenance, repair and replacement of office equipment

Qualifications

Highly motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team, diligent and with an eye for detail.

  • Can create, manage, file and archive documents, spreadsheets and presentations.

  • Can process relevant deliverables (printing, binding, organising, stamping etc.)

  • Deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence appropriately

  • Can enter data, retrieve data and maintain databases.

  • Can Compile reports.

  • Can direct, review, and optimize office operations to increase accuracy, productivity, and efficiency, and reduce costs.

  • Can maintain good communication and cooperation with all project team members and communicate effectively at all levels.

  • Commitment to delivery to internal and external clients, with the view towards timeliness, reliability, safety, and accuracy of completed tasks.
