Up to €88,792 based on a 40-hour working weekFor a QESH department in Emmen, a major chemical manufacturing site is looking for a SHE Officer to strengthen their team. As SHE Officer you are responsible for the SHE support for the site, being a coach for the site members and conducting SHE studies for site projects. Next to that, you are responsible for compliance to legal requirements and for the maintenance of the environmental management system.The SHE Officer will be responsible for:
-Challenge the management of the site regarding the SHE policies and SHE standards in the organization
-Support of line management to be compliant with legal requirements and internal corporat requirements and keep track of new developments in legislation and regulations
-Act as mentor and coach for operators and managers
-Execute internal audits
-Organization of measurements and the registration thereof in accordance with health, safety and environmental standards and ensure follow-up of results
-Preparing, tracking and reporting of SHE KPIs for the plant and the SHE action lists.
-Risk assessment of management of changes (MOCs)
-Coordination of SHE aspects in preparation for and during production stops/turn arounds
-Support of the annual reporting such as 3P, MJA-e and EEP, management review
-Supervising and managing of safety studies (e.g. HAZOP, machine safety, risk identification and evaluation (RI&E), -Job safety analysis (JSAs), in compliance with DSM policies
-Implement and supervise root cause analysisThe SHE Officer will have:
-Min. 2-3 years of experience in a SHE related position
-HVK (Hogere Veiligheidskunde) educated or willing to gain HVK education with financial help
-Knowledge and experience in a chemical plant environment is preferred
-You are able to audit according ISO 14001
-Focused on collaboration, positive working attitude and highly service oriented. You can also adapt to a coaching attitude
-Communicatively and analytically strong, able to convince people and resilient
-Strong drive for results
-Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language
