We are seeking an experienced IT Service Owner for Local Area Network (LAN). In this role, you will design, implement, and lead our LAN infrastructure, ensuring its availability, reliability, and security. You will have the autonomy to handle network services and coordinate with various collaborators and service providers.
Your challenge will be…
Lead and own network services for Siemens internal customers, ensuring best-in-class performance and reliability
Engage proactively with service providers to ensure the highest quality of service, drive innovation, improve efficiency, and resolve problems/incidents efficiently
Lead and coordinate an external team of Service Managers from different network providers, ensuring magnificent partnership and delivery
Assess risks and independently derive appropriate measures to mitigate them
Communicate service-related topics optimally to various collaborators, including management, ensuring visibility and alignment
Collaborate closely with the network architecture team to ensure consistency and integration of network solutions
Work with multi-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall IT objectives, encouraging a collaborative environment
Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement, driving continuous optimization
Provide technical guidance and support to team members, encouraging a culture of learning and development
Stay ahead of trends and developments in LAN technology, applying innovations to maintain a competitive edge
Act as the key contact for CxOs of Operating Companies, Service Companies, Countries, etc., within the IT organization, identifying key talents and defining solutions for the IT roadmap
Serve as a trusted advocate of the business within the IT organization, ensuring IT strategies align with business goals
Chip in to growing business value by providing innovative IT solutions that help the business achieve its targets more optimally
Promote and sell overarching projects and services, convincing collaborators of their value
Support IT Partner Managers, IT Business Consultants, and IT Project Managers with authority insights and mentorship
Report directly to the Head of the Service Group Local Connectivity, providing strategic updates and insights

Master degree in Information Technology or a similar qualification paired with long-term experience in IT
Over 5 years of experience in the management of network operations, with a focus on LAN and WLAN network services and solutions. Understanding and operational management of WAN technology would be advantageous
In-depth knowledge of local connectivity network infrastructure and their management platforms (e.g., Aruba or Cisco)
Shown experience in technical management of international network teams, demonstrating strong leadership and coordination skills
Solid grasp of Service Management and ITIL processes, ensuring efficient and effective IT service delivery
Technical education, preferably with experience in the technology industry, ideally with a focus on network services
Business-fluent English language skills (speaking and writing) are vital. German language skills would be advantageous
