Security was already an extremely important function in our old facility and even more so on our new site. Therefore, we are now looking for new Security Officers to supplement our team. Working as a Security Officer you get to use your professional approach and your sharp eyes,protecting our customer’s shipments, our warehouse facilities, and our employees, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round. For that, we employ both physical and technical installations to manage access control, which you will be monitoring.You create value when you use yourpeople skills on yourdailyrounds while screening our staff, and when supporting various ad hoc security processes. You get to use your service-minded approach when you help and engage with your colleagues and customers and when you support our receptionists.To excel in this role, strong technical skills in computers and various complex IT programs are essential, as you will use numerous complex IT programs daily.Monitoring our facilities from the Control room and during rounds, you ensure thatDHL Aviation exceeds national and international regulations regarding Aviation- and Airport Security. With reference to our Security Supervisors, you will be part of a team with super professional and highly engaged colleagues. You will primarily be working in shifts of 12 hours, day and night, including weekends and public holidays.YOUR SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Keeping a service-minded focus and at the same time using your experience and your understanding of security tasks is key to your success in this role. Helping and rendering service simply runs in your blood. Thinking security is in your DNA as well and you truly enjoy both daily.You are self-driven and able to maintain a high level of professionalism in your work while combining a high stress tolerance with the ability to make quick decisions in critical situations such as emergency incidents.You are honest and maintain a high level of integrity with an ability to motivate your surroundingsWhile performing your functions and cooperating with other departments, you interact positively with your colleagues and bring your people skills and effective communication skills into play.You get touse your patience and your cold-headed approach when you handle conflicts and when you correct colleagues who are not following the security instructions and guidelines.You will also get to bring your overview and your detailed and analytical skills into play when you monitor our facilities.

Previous experience from a similar security position is an advantage but not a requirement. Your background could also be from police work, maybe you have worked as a guard, or you have been active in the armed forces.It is, however, a mandatory requirement, to be able to join us asa security officer, that you can present a clean police record, and you can obtain security approval from the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET). You also need to hold a valid driver’s license.Likewise, since we are an international environment where communication in both English and Danish is part of everyday life.
