As our Sensory Panel Leader, you will work within our Sensory team in Gorinchem, leading our expert sensory panel and supporting various projects by providing high-standard sensory data. This role emphasizes leveraging application knowledge, especially regarding the impact of Corbion products in end applications, such as meat, confectionary, and savory products.

You are based at our Global Innovation Centre in Gorinchem and you report to the Sensory Program Director. You will collaborate closely with members of innovation project teams and application team based in Gorinchem

Key Responsibilities

-Support Business Success: Apply appropriate sensory methods to support the business.
-Oversee Sensory Panel Activities: Manage and oversee internal sensory panel activities.
-Innovation: Support the development of innovative food solutions and the current product portfolio.
-Facility Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Gorinchem Sensory Facility.
-Execute Sensory Studies: Conduct sensory panel studies as per the guidance from the Sensory Program Leader, including sample preparation, scheduling, panel moderation, and sensory lab maintenance.
-Collaborative Design and Implementation: Work with the Sensory team to lead and support the design and implementation of all phases of sensory testing.
-Risk Management: Ensure all samples are food-safe for sensory testing, managing food safety risks both internally and externally
 

About you

-Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sensory Science or Food Science with a passion for flavor.
-Experience: Previous panel leader experience is a plus, but not required.
-Hands-on Approach: Practical mentality and a hands-on approach to tasks.
-Effective Communication: Open and effective communicator, able to listen well and collaborate with expert panelists, application teams, and product development teams.
-Self-Starter: Ability to work independently on projects, bring new ideas into the organization, and manage multiple projects and tasks effectively.
-Team Player: Collaborative mindset, able to work well with various disciplines and individuals.
-Results-Driven: High motivation and passion to deliver results with a can-do mentality.
-Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in Dutch to lead the expert panel.
