Job PurposeWe are looking for a senior JS/TS engineer who can punch out some mean code as well as elevate the team with wisdom and knowledge. You will be given a central role in one of Fonto’s teams who work on our high-tech front-ends or a newer product. Together with leadership you will, amongst other things, review your team’s output, suggest and implement quality control measures, mentor your juniors, and help the team lead bring the team’s endeavour to a success.About FontoFonto, the providers of the leading cloud-native, data-driven authoring solution for mission-critical documents. • You’ll start with straight up development and design while you get familiar with your new working environment.
• From the beginning you’ll be involved in the heavier decision making amongst your team, and any architectural questions that come up.
• You’ll probably co-design API’s with other teams regularly. As soon as you’re able, you’ll be given review tasks, time to mentor your juniors, and asked to participate in software architecture.
• We expect that you’ll contribute your ideas on quality control, roadmap, development processes, and so on.

Skills & ExperienceWe’re looking for people who:

• Are fluent in TypeScript and enjoy a challenge that involves languages, frameworks, techniques and concerns that you may not have dealt with before.
• Are Dead set on high quality standards and the staying power to execute them with the team.
• Are good communicators, and are able to talk to colleagues from different backgrounds and with varying levels of seniority.
• Have no problem putting their team mates first, helping them thrive, and share the credit with.
• Are willing to collaborate with third parties directly, or even educate them when it comes to Fonto’s niche.
• Can present their ideas to a wider group of decision makers, focusing not only on the hottest tech but smart business and healthy team goals as well.
• Can have easy and hard conversations in English.
• Are an EU citizen or working visa to work in the Netherlands or EU.
