You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.A Day in the Life The Global Treasury team, with teams across the globe, is responsible for financing strategies and their execution, capital structure management, capital deployment recommendations, foreign currency considerations and risk management. It also takes care of share repurchase strategies and the execution, treasury operations, investment programs for the company’s cash, trust and pension assets, and interest rate risk management. Treasury serves as an advocate for the company to debt and equity investors, commercial and investment banks, and rating agencies.Join the Global Treasury Team as a Senior Treasury Analyst, supporting and working together with other treasury team members across the globe in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Latin America, Canada, Asia-Pacific, Greater China and the US. In this role you will operate within a set of guidelines covering the different aspects of the Treasury function, including liquidity planning and funding, cash management, payment & collection solutions, and trade finance. Thereby you will interact with Corporate Treasury, Tax, Medtronic’s banking partners, businesses, global finance teams, Legal and suppliers. Treasury uses the Reval Treasury Management System to record, analyse and process day to day transactions. You can think of Intercompany Loan registrations, Intercompany Netting, Liquidity Planning and daily Cash Management activities, which are supported by this technology.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Analysing and forecasting short-term cash requirements and cash flows
- Assessing and determining cash management opportunities in co-operation with Local Finance departments, including opening and closing of bank accounts, including tracking, monitoring, reporting and optimization/rationalization of cash management infrastructure
- Operating the monthly world-wide netting and maintain the IC loan portfolio
- Maintaining (& issuing) Contingent Liabilities, such as comfort letters, parental and bank guarantees and reporting and monitoring cash flow & currency exposure positions, bank charges, and interest income/expense
- Customer finance/payment solutions and ad hoc Treasury, Tax and Finance related projects
- Maintaining process documentation & supporting audit activities
- Ensuring adherence to the Medtronic Worldwide Finance Policies and other internal established policies and processes
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor or master’s in finance / accounting or equivalent field with minimum of 4 years working experience in Corporate Treasury or a related financial field
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, being flexible and stress resistant with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Ability to work in a complex, dynamic and fast changing environment, being accurate and having a continuous improvement mindset
A completed Treasury or Corporate finance training, functional knowledge of MS Office and tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SharePoint, Power Automate), business knowledge of cash management and banking in international (cash) pooling and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SAP and Treasury Management System (Reval) are considered an advantage for this role.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package
