Senior Town Planner
Galway
A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for an ambitious and experienced Town Planner to joining a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy in their Galway office!
The current team is working on an exciting portfolio of work and is currently focused on large multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, commercial and mixed-use developments, in addition to large scale residential developments. The range of projects includes maritime area developments, renewable energy projects, transport projects in addition to regular planning matters.
The role offers opportunities to work as part of a team on prestigious and large-scale infrastructure projects. The role will be of interest to professional Planners who like working with in-house specialists, those who enjoy a wide variety of project types and those who get fulfilment from quality training.
Prospective candidates will ideally have the following skills and attributes:
* IPI/RTPI chartered town planner (or working towards) with experience in a planning consultancy or local government role.
* Technically proficient with excellent working knowledge of planning legislation and planning policy matters.
* Strategic thinker and problem solver, with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
* Knowledge and experience of planning, development, and environmental issues.
* A market awareness and a good comprehending of local planning issues.
