Job Title: Senior Town Planner

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planning professional to take on a key role within a collaborative and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be involved in a broad and diverse range of projects, including large-scale residential, commercial and retail developments, urban regeneration schemes, tourism initiatives, master planning, infrastructure, and environmental projects. You will play a central role in delivering impactful and meaningful outcomes for clients while contributing to the continued success of the business.

Role Responsibilities
* Lead and manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring successful delivery
* Coordinate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams
* Prepare and manage project programmes, budgets, and high-quality deliverables
* Oversee team workloads and ensure efficient execution of client instructions
* Liaise with statutory bodies, including local authorities and relevant planning boards
* Develop strategic responses to emerging planning legislation and policy changes
* Represent the organisation at client meetings and support business development initiatives
* Mentor and guide junior team members, supporting their ongoing professional development
Ideal Candidate
* A minimum of 8 years’ professional experience within the planning sector
* An accredited planning qualification with membership of IPI, RTPI, or equivalent
* Strong and up-to-date knowledge of Irish planning legislation and regulatory frameworks
* Proven experience in development planning, feasibility assessments, environmental planning, and planning applications and appeals
* Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice and manage complex projects
* Excellent analytical, organisational, and decision-making skills
* Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across a range of project types and scales
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports
* Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
* A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
