The Sr. Territory Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing and closing business opportunities with direct touch with customers and indirectly through value added partners, system integrators and cloud service providers with a number of strategic Commercial companies in the assigned account set. Customers may be of different size and industry. The primary focus is to develop and execute a territory plan together with an internal extended team and with business partners to support the growing plan of Veeam.
Preferred location: North East of Italy (Bologna/Padova/Verona/Parma) or Milan
Your tasks will include:
- Drive “new business” related sales initiatives on a list of strategic Commercial accounts mainly based in the North East and North of Italy.
- Prospecting, qualifying, developing and closing business opportunities – through direct touch and leveraging a network of value added partners
- Tirelessly generate pipeline and incorporate it as a part of your daily routine
- Up-sell and cross-sell to the existing customer base in the territory and drive transformation in their data resilience strategies
- Forecast on revenue expectations and report on activities coming from the territory leveraging the most innovative and common sales tools
- Propose, coordinate and participate in marketing activities in the territory.
What we expect from you:
- Fluent in Italian and English
- At least 5 years of track record of sales success working with commercial and enterprise like organizations.
- Experience with vendors associated with datacenter valued solutions, virtualization technologies, cloud and aaS is a plus
- Well-established network among Italian IT resellers
- Track record of accomplishment selling to the IT infrastructure specialists
- Proven ability to develop new sales with end-users
- Be a self-starter with the ability to learn quickly – highly coachable and open to learning
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where roles and responsibilities change quickly
- Be comfortable travelling for at least 50% of the time.
- Ideally located in Milan or in the North East of Italy (Bologna/Padova/Verona/Parma)
- Current full driving license
