Senior Technician in Applied Sciences

Job Description:ABOUT THE ROLEThe role holder will be expected to deliver high quality technical services for teaching and research, using specialist technical knowledge, in particular, tissue culture. As a senior technician they will be responsible for the delivery of practical sessions in support of the undergraduate teaching programme, actively engaging in research, and demonstrating scientific tasks and procedures to staff and students. In addition, the post holder will be actively involved in management of faculty laboratory spaces with specific emphasis on health and safety, line management responsibilities as well as involvement in planning of specialist facilities. They will be a skilled individual who is self-motivated, highly organised, and works well as part of a team.
