You will join CSU Sigonella, which is the leading provider of Communications and Information System (CIS) products and services to locally based NATO entities such as the NATO Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Force (NISRF). CSU Sigonella enables end-to-end CIS services and manages critical technological capabilities during peacetime, crisis and war.We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Senior Technician (ICT System) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

• Install and configure Desktop Services;
• Install, operate, protect, maintain and support all local Voice and Data communication, Network, Audio/Video and VTC equipment;
• Install, operate and maintain Routing and Switching equipment, VoIP and VTC infrastructures and circuits;
• Perform advanced analysis and troubleshooting of Desktop, Communications and Network Services, in support of incident management processes;
• Perform testing and evaluation of supported hardware and software (firmware and drivers);
• Perform Incident Support Request lifecycle services affecting end-users (i.e. creating, reporting, tracking, resolving and closing Incidents);
• Takes part in a Duty Support Shift, which may operate on a 24/7 basis.

• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience.
• At least 2 years practical experience of implementation and maintenance of ICT end systems within a large organization.
• At least 2 years’ experience in configuring, troubleshooting and optimizing routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware/software networking elements.
• Working experience configuring hardware and software.
• Good understanding of ICT systems and the ability to work independently to solve problems.
• Working experience troubleshooting technical issues and providing technical support to end-users.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
