About this vacancy

• Rephrase complex statistical physics challenges into straightforward simulations.
• Develop and enhance particle tracking simulations for both continuum flow and rarefied gas environments.
• Work closely with academic partners on cutting-edge statistical algorithms, such as DSMC solvers.
• Collaborate directly with engineers to validate and refine models for problem-solving.
• Actively suggest engineering solutions derived from simulation outcomes.
• Convert simulation insights into design recommendations.
• Document the study, design, and results in detailed reports.

What we expect from you

• You possess deep expertise in statistical physics with extensive experience in Molecular Dynamics, Lattice Boltzmann, or Monte Carlo methods.
• Holding a Master’s or PhD in physics or a related field, you bring at least 3 years of simulation experience within the high-tech industry.
• Your simulations provide a strong factual and technical foundation to support multiple teams.
• Familiarity with flow simulations in rarefied conditions is an added advantage.
• A self-driven specialist with a knack for asking the right follow-up questions.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
• A collaborative team player who is analytical, pragmatic, creative, and proactive. Excellent communication skills, fluent in English, with a preference for Dutch proficiency.
• Ambition for a broad personal development in the technology field.
