Job DescriptionIntroductionJoin our company’s Business Practices / Compliance team for a great challenge with both privacy related and general compliance related responsibilities! In our team, we collaborate to help our business remain fully compliant with all regulations, both internal and external. The internal ones are our corporate guidelines, standards and policies, while the external ones are the applicable legislation and the pharma industry codes. We focus on enabling our business by designing good working processes and systems, to become fully compliant-by-design in our operations. We also keep an eye on good documentation practices and monitoring of activities.This position consists of 2 major responsibilities, the first one (on a shorter term) in privacy related matters, the second one (on the longer term) in general compliance matters. The estimated time commitment for privacy is generally 20%, but will be 100% during the first 6 months.ROLE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Privacy Steward, you:play a critical role in supporting the effective local implementation and operational oversight of our Company’s Privacy Programestablish a local Privacy network of representative individuals to promote privacy awareness and drive accountabilityare a privacy resource for the local organization using individual privacy knowledge and leveraging support from the GPOhave a strong working knowledge of the Company’s Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) process, advocates and you support the use of PIA’s amongst local business stakeholderstrack to completion (and escalate to GPO or management, where necessary) any risk mitigations resulting from Privacy Impact Assessmentshave a strong working knowledge of the Company’s Privacy Policies and Standardslead the local implementation of new or revised privacy requirements and the ongoing monitoring of all required global privacy program elementsproactively identify privacy risks and gaps in the local business/function, and you partner with the GPO on appropriate remediation activitiesAs a Business Practices / Compliance Specialist, you:ensure that clear processes and engagement strategies are in place, which will enable the organization to work to the highest standards of ethics and integrity, according to internal (global) standards, corporate policies, (local) laws, pharma industry association codes, etc.serve as a ‘guardian’ of all business-related policies and procedures that include compliance controlscreate a culture across the organization of individual accountability and responsibility in relation to compliance and good business practicesproactively identify business risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to enable good business decision making in the organizationare a business-focused, solution-oriented strong leader who can motivate the organization to use an ethical and compliance mindset in all activitiesmanage the implementation of changes, conduct review sessions with stakeholders, communicate and train on new and revised policies, processes, and procedures, you document training and ensure attendance sheets for training are tracked and stored appropriately
provide guidance to Business Stakeholders on queries relating to the local Industry Codes, Standards, Policies & SOPs, and day to day business activities across the organizationperform regularly self-audits / spot checks for documents, monitor/track activities and report the results and establishing clear actions to enhance/simplify processesKey competencesIdeally:prior compliance experience and/or or a strong interest in privacy related matters, especially the GDPRexperienced compliance officer (or similar role) from pharmaceutical or regulated industryhigh ethical standards, you are a role model in business compliance and integrityexperience in taking responsibility for compliance activities with significant experience in implementing and advising on pharma codesexperience with working in an international corporate environment, with cross-border compliance and/or regulatory teamscollaborative and skilled in working cross-functionally and in teamsexcellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsstrong influencing and listening skillsbeing able to lead change, implement new processes and procedures, and provide training to support program requirements you are able to interpret, implement and communicate (Privacy) Policies, Standards, and requirementsbeing able to resolve complex ways of working issues across functionsa bachelor’s degree (minimum)fluency in English and preferably also in Dutch and/or FrenchCurrent Employees applyCurrent Contingent Workers applySearch Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully Bruxelles
