This role sits within Aptiv’s new product organization, which will be at the forefront of transforming the auto industry with cutting-edge technology.Position SummaryWe’re seeking highly motivated Software Engineers to develop innovative interior sensing technology designed to enhance the safety and comfort of the vehicle cabin. Interior sensing is a new and rapidly growing area that provides life-saving products such as driver drowsiness/attention monitoring, seat belt recognition, and left-behind child detection, as well as convenience features such as gesture recognition. In this role you will bring the product vision for the next generation of interior sensing innovations to reality by working as part of a global engineering team to design, implement and test software features and user-focused use cases.Your RoleAssure to follow existing AS&UX standards in SW development process:Collecting and analyzing SW requirements,Preparing SW design documentation,Programming SW modules,Preparing and performing tests to verify SW work products.Create and document software design meeting requirements using UMLWrite robust and reusable high-level software code implementing interior sensing featuresActive participation in technical innovation and organization programsC++, and Python languages on a variety of target platforms including PCs and embedded SoCsEnsure software quality goals are metWork closely with counterparts across global team to overcome obstacles in meeting program deliverables on time with qualityBe passionate about creating and understanding new technologies and inspire others to do the sameYour BackgroundBachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (engineering, computer science, physics, or related field of study)

5+ years of experience writing software using C++Familiarity with Python2+ years of experience working in an Agile development teamFamiliarity with software development processes (CI/CD) and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Polarion, GIT, etc.)Experience working with distributed software architecturesAbility to speak, to read and to write EnglishNice to have: Automotive SPICE, experience with Linux and QNX, experience with computer vision and image processingWhy join us?You can grow at Aptiv.
