Scientist/Senior Scientist, Histology and imaging
Do you want to be a part of Lundbeck’s early drug discovery organization and bring the medicines of the future to patients with CNS disorders? Your experience with Spatial multiplexing (omics) technologies might be just what we need to advance our technological development in this area.
Your new role
style=”margin-bottom:11.0px”-
-You will become a key part of our histology & imaging team, where you will be the main driver for technological development within spatial multiplexing (omics) technologies (e.g. cyclic immunofluorescence, spatial transcriptomics, multiplex ISH, and situ sequencing), an area where we see a lot of development in coming years, which is why we want to strengthen our position here.
-You will be planning and conducting experiments, as well as analyzing data from our histological workflows, which currently include widefield-, immunofluorescence- and confocal microscopy, immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, COMET multiplexing platform, and autoradiography.
-You will provide critical data across projects in our drug discovery portfolio and represent the department by bringing histology and imaging insights into project teams.
Your future team
Our department is based at Lundbeck’s R&D headquarters in Valby, Denmark, and is comprised of an international team of 11 members, including scientists, laboratory technicians, and students. We are an established team working in a scientific environment committed to quality pharmacological work. We work in an open and collaborative atmosphere with excellent possibilities to develop technical skills and scientific expertise, and a focus on personal development.
Our department has two teams responsible for histology & imaging, and in vivo work in animal models, respectively. Together with the rest of the Neuroscience organization, we represent biological research at Lundbeck and are focused on generating the necessary data and knowledge for advancing our drug discovery projects.
You will conduct your work in close collaboration with the other members of the histology & imaging team.
The position is based in our headquarters in Valby, Denmark.
What you bring to the team
style=”margin-bottom:11.0px”-
-A PhD degree related to neuroscience, imaging, or adjacent fields, with few to several years of post-PhD experience.
-Hands-on experience with developing, conducting, and analyzing data from spatial multiplex (omics) technologies (Image- and/ or NGS-based) as well as more classical histological and imaging experiments in rodents.
-A mindset that allows you to drive technological development that requires collaboration between several different departments/areas of expertise.
-It will be an asset if you have experience with coding (e.g. Python), and/or image analysis using Visiopharm software.
