The position
As a (Senior) Scientific Publications Manager, you will be driving the development of publications for Novo Nordisk sponsored data.
Your main responsibilities will be focused on:
-Day-to-day, as well as strategic project management
-Interacting and collaborating with key senior stakeholders across the global organisation
-Drive the development of scientific publications such as abstracts, poster/oral presentations, manuscripts and review articles
-Develop publication strategies/develop and execute publication plans for compounds in clinical development
-Guiding the organisation to ensure both internal and external adherence to ethical and transparency standards and guidelines within Good Publication Practice
-Creating and maintaining budgets incl. vendor interaction, budget forecasting and follow up
-Interacting in a compliant manner with health care professionals and key opinion leaders within specific therapy areas
-Exploring, assessing and ultimately enabling the use of new digital tools/platforms to increase efficiency when developing publications, and the impact they have
For this position, success is contingent upon your ability to be in the frontline of scientific communication, being an excellent stakeholder manager and driving multiple deliverables simultaneously whilst maintaining the project overview. 10-15% worldwide travel days per year primarily to scientific congresses.

Qualifications
To be a competitive candidate, you should have:
-A relevant master’s degree in Life Science or any related field, Project management experience (ability to manage multiple tasks with successful outcomes (i.e. ability to prioritise) and Stakeholder management experience
-Scientific communications experience in pharma, academia, publishing, medical communications or similar is an asset
-An understanding of how to create and maintain budgets
-Change ready to quickly adapt to new situations in a continuously developing environment
-An interest in the ethics of scientific communication and good publication practise. To be a certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) is an asset
As a professional, you are fluent in written and spoken English and you have strong communication skills. You have a forward-thinking and innovative attitude to help develop and improve processes.
About the department
The Scientific Publications Department is anchored in Global Medical Affairs (GMA) in the Development organisation of Novo Nordisk. Scientific Publications are responsible for publishing scientific research across all drug development phases and are headed up by our Scientific Publications Director and split into two Publication Teams. We are looking for a publication professional to join the Scientific Publications team 2 in the Obesity, MASH and CVOT space. The position is office based -situated in Site Søborg (Copenhagen) office Denmark, with some flexibility to work from home.
