This position is a key leadership role within the European Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team. The successful candidate will be an experienced Engineering Manager with proven Programme and Project Management skills, gained in a network environment. As a Senior Manager in Project Management, you will play an instrumental role in setting direction and leading projects and programmes within RME Field, engaging with a range of functions including Global Reliability Team, Global Engineering Services / Field Engineering, Talent Acquisition, PxT, Finance, Supply Chain, WHS, ACES, Compensation and Benefits and Operations amongst others, addressing challenges with high potential for innovation across the organisation. Your work will make a difference to the RME organisation as you create solutions to complex and/or ambiguous network challenges. Key job responsibilities

  • Engage senior stakeholders/managers and regularly update them on the progress of key projects

  • Work alongside Snr Regional RME Managers and a team of other Snr Project Managers, offering mentorship and support

  • Carry out team and organisational reviews and assess key performance metrics

  • Define data-led approaches to products and ways of working

  • Resolve business-critical and persistent problems

  • Define departmental strategies and structures

A day in the life

As we move forward with our plans, Senior Managers help organise and direct our efforts so that project milestones and key deliverables are met. You’ll also play an active role in defining scope for complex programmes and initiatives, and you’ll present your analysis and recommendations to Directors and Vice Presidents to inform change at the most senior level.

In your role, you will be encompassing operations process improvements driven by change requests, safety network actions, sustainability projects and equipment upgrades by assessing existing operational processes, procedures, and workflows. You will be developing budgets and project plans for equipment upgrades, which includes evaluating costs, benefits, and return on investment (ROI) to justify and prioritize upgrades. Your role will drive project management supporting RME field teams in delivering operational changes.

You will work alongside a team of Regional RME Managers, RME Directors and other Project Managers to drive business-critical projects. You’ll challenge and guide the team to ensure the timely progress and completion of their deliverables, coordinate their efforts, and address a lack of traction or adoption where necessary. You will be able to switch from operating at a strategic level or a hands-on level and understand the needs of the organisation. You will have the ability to function, think clearly and precisely to find the right solution in a fast-paced work environment. On occasion, you may need to support business critical Regions to help drive success for the organisation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience managing large complex facilities

  • Senior management and leadership responsibilities experience

  • Relevant experience in creating or leading teams

  • Relevant experience in driving significant change management initiatives at all levels of a department, including creating business strategy and planning

  • Relevant experience in communicating and presenting papers to multi-level stakeholders and senior management

  • Relevant experience in modern advanced reliability methods and techniques

  • Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced or Master’s degree

  • Engineering Leadership

  • Relevant experience in outlining programme roadmaps, including anticipating bottlenecks and balancing business needs against technical and operational constraints
