Join us as a Senior Risk Specialist in our dynamic Post-Resolution Office, where you’ll ensure the fulfilment of critical regulatory commitments and work closely with senior leadership!Senior Risk Specialist, Post-Resolution Office, 2LOD (Second Line of Defence), Group Risk ManagementAfter reaching a plea agreement with US authorities and other authorities in December 2022, the Bank committed to new obligations that require action from across the organisation including Group Compliance, Human Resources, Group Risk, Legal, 1LoD Business Controls and Financial Crime Risk and Technology and Services.The Post Resolution Office (PRO) has been established by the Bank’s Executive Leadership Team and has a direct reporting line into the Chief Risk Officer. The PRO’s work includes overall programme management for the commitments promised to relevant bodies, ad hoc, quarterly and annual reporting to DOJ/DFSA and thorough and regular updates to the Bank’s senior and executive leadership.PRO is currently looking for a Senior Risk Specialist to help deliver this work. This position will sit within the PRO reporting to PRO management.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Track and drive the end-to-end progress of commitments under the plea agreement with the DoJ across workstreams and running weekly task force meetings that follow up on the progress. Preparing presentation decks for Task Force meetings and providing input to SteerCo which assembles senior stakeholders in the bank.
• Following up with stakeholders across the bank on the completion of commitments through the closure cycle, from quality assurance and design validation to effectiveness testing by the 3rd line of defense.
• Maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders across the workstreams and across the bank. Working to strict deadlines while critically challenging the quality of work submitted.

The role holder should be comfortable working independently with the ability to identify when to seek guidance on prioritising projects and activities and escalate matters of concern.Who are we looking for?To succeed in this role, you must possess a willingness to learn, be proactive and driven, and have exceptional communication and organisational skills. You must have very strong English language skills and able to summarise complex information for senior audiences that is accurate and balanced. You should also possess previous experience of producing high quality written materials (Power point presentations, written reports, excel data presentations etc.) quickly and based on critical analysis. The role involves engaging with staff across multiple teams and with diverse backgrounds, you must possess exceptional interpersonal skills and have the ability to build strong relations with colleagues, even when working to tight deadlines. We expect you to have a proactive approach to problem solving as well as, having the ability to deliver quality work and meet deadlines.

We are looking for someone who is keen, a self-starter, who has a logical and pragmatic view of risk management. You should be able to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly under time pressure with high attention to detail.We imagine that you have following qualifications:

• Min. 5 years relevant experience in a bank, financial services firm, regulatory agency, or law firm.
• Practical understanding of risk management, compliance, and controls.
• Solid stakeholder and project management skills; ability to work across teams in order to deliver a single goal.
• You hold a university degree (or can demonstrate relevant work experience and success).
• Strong user of standard professional tools such as Power point, Word, Excel, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software such as JIRA.
• Fluent in English – both spoken and written. Excellent written communication skills.
• Experience and willingness to work in a global environment with stakeholders across the world.
