Senior Research Specialist (toxicology)

  • Search scientific databases and literature to gather all toxicological and classification and labelling information related to the ingredients used/to be use in products
  • Read scientific articles, dossier, reports and assess/evaluate the relevance of the published toxicological information
  • Based on the identified relevant information, prepare and continuously update toxicological dossiers on the toxicity of ingredients for products, to be submitted to worldwide regulatory agencies, particularly as a result of current and future legislation
  • Provide support in the classification and labelling of ingredients for ingredient portfolio to support the SRA Chemical Regulations program
  • Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request, e.g. contribute towards risk assessment of ingredients and substances
  • Degree in toxicology or other appropriate life science
  • Experience in the retrieval of scientific/toxicological information for ingredients or other materials, preferably in the consumer industry. Familiar with working in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent English (both written and verbal)
  • Standard Computer skills (MS Office)
  • Business focused scientist with experience of working in complex regulatory environments
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
