Job Title: Senior Research NurseLocation: ManchesterSalary: £46,148 to £52,809 DOEJob type: Full Time, PermanentThe Role:The (NHD) is a register of people in the UK with all types of bleeding disorders started in 1969. Its purpose is to study the complete national cohort of patients with these conditions and improve the care of people with bleeding disorders. The database is held within the NHS and managed by the UK Haemophilia Centre Doctors’ Organisation (UKHCDO) which is an association of medical practitioners who work within the NHS Haemophilia Centre’s of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, or Wales and have an interest in the care of people with Haemophilia or other inherited bleeding disorders.You would be working with the UKs best clinical, scientific, and statistical capabilities in this sector. You will work with other team members move forwards our exciting data strategy; Would you enjoy being part of an NHD team those values, recognises, and celebrates staff members, their skills, and contributions? If yes, the National Haemophilia Database is the place for you.Responsibilities:Due to the onset of new Gene Therapy (GT) trials we are looking for a dynamic Research Nurse to work alongside the existing team. We collaborate with pharmaceutical companies, whose focus will be the development of therapies for inherited bleeding disorders. Gene therapy treatment has the potential to deliver a one-time treatment for Haemophilia and a range of other bleeding disorders.The main objective for this Gene therapy Research Nurse role is to assist in the management of the gene therapy research portfolio of the Haemophilia Gene Therapy studies at the National Haemophilia Database, ensuring that the trials run smoothly for the participants recruited.The post-holder will work with the gene therapy cohort of Haemophilia patients with the Principal Investigator, Gene Therapy Hub and Haemophilia Centres, ensuring each gene therapy study and information requirements are captured efficiently.Essential
