Our ambition is to prevent, manage, and treat chronic diseases through behaviour and lifestyle change, with a keen focus on cardiometabolic conditions.Headquartered in Copenhagen and London, our collaborations with healthcare systems, including the NHS, as well as life science companies and health insurers, allow us to impact lives at scale.About the roleWe’re looking for a Senior Research Manager to join the team and help us shape and deliver our clinical evidence generation strategy.Key Responsibilities:StrategyLead and develop Liva’s evidence generation strategies across our core therapeutic areas of obesity, prediabetes/type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, as well as potential new therapeutic areasStudy Development and ExecutionLead the design, planning, and execution of various clinical studies, including service evaluations, real world evidence studies and randomised controlled trials, ensuring that each study aligns with Liva’s broader strategic goals.Lead the analysis of clinical and real world data, utilising quantitative and qualitative research methods along with statistical software.Collaboration and CommunicationWork alongside internal teams to ensure accurate representation of Liva’s clinical research data, e.g. in commercial conversations/pitch decks, board meetings, marketing materials etc.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external academic, clinical and research partners (e.g. universities, CROs, health innovation networks, etc) to facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration.Lead the preparation of abstracts, reports and manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentation at relevant conferencesResearch Project Management and LeadershipManage research projects from initiation to completion, including budgeting, reporting (technical and narrative) financial oversight and ethical review. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects meet their goals.Lead a small team, including a research scientist and seconded Industrial Masters/PhD studentsEssential Criteria:PhD within a relevant field (preferably obesity, nutrition, type 2 diabetes, behaviour change)Strong understanding of research governance, ethical standards, and regulatory frameworksExpertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods and proven ability to apply statistical techniques to clinical research data.Proven track record of publicationExperience within industry, including previous experience of research management and leadershipExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDesirable Criteria:Strong network of academic relationships and links to institutionsUnderstanding of UK / EU healthcare systemsProven success in securing research funding through competitive grant applicationPrevious experience in digital health, or within a startup environmentThis role offers a unique opportunity to combine your expertise in research with innovation in digital health.
