We are looking to recruit a Senior Research Analyst to join our team to focus on Student Property research and consultancy. This role is critical to delivering research services for our Student Property team and supporting the ongoing expansion of Knight Frank’s wider Living Sectors team.We are the world’s leading independent international property consultancy, headquartered in the UK, offering agency and professional advice across Commercial, Residential and Rural sectors. Established in 1896, Knight Frank now comprises a global network of over 20,000 people in 600+ Offices across 50 Territories.Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake high-quality analysis of key external and proprietary databases to support the Living Sectors Research team and their stakeholders.
  • Prepare regular outputs for stakeholders, including data books, dashboards, and written reports.
  • Create market presentations to support client meetings.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests from the wider research team and stakeholders.
  • Work with the research team to establish market trends and drivers.
  • Assist the Student Property research leads.
  • Work independently on consultancy projects.

Operating Environment:

  • Based within the Living Sectors Research team, part of the Global Research team at Knight Frank’s 55 Baker Street office.
  • Day-to-day management by the Living Sectors research leads for Student Property and PRS, alongside Knight Frank’s Head of Living Sectors Research & Consultancy, Matthew Bowen.
  • Focused on delivering research services to external clients and the Student Property team.

Experience & Skills:

  • University degree (1st or 2:1) or relevant industry experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar analytics or real estate role.
  • Exceptional numeracy skills and a strong approach to drawing conclusions from data and market intelligence.
  • Demonstrable accuracy in manipulating, analyzing, and presenting data, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Personal skills suited to working within a professional team environment and with a range of stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on multiple projects.
  • Interest in real estate markets and policy relating to residential investment and development.

Systems:

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, is essential.
  • Experience with at least two of the following: GIS, SQL, PYTHON, R, SPSS, Excel Macros, Power BI, Flourish, Macrobond, and real estate data systems (e.g., RCA, MSCI, Radius, Property Data, Agents Insight).
