To start as soon as possible, full time, permanentIn RWE Denmark we are looking for someone with experience in associations and government work, dealing with issues relevant to renewable energy and hydrogen within the Danish market; experience interacting and communicating effectively with multiple public-sector stakeholders and familiarity with the regulatory environment, politics, law and other issues that impact development of renewable energy projects.About the role:
- Be a senior representative for renewable energy and hydrogen topics in Denmark, engaging externally towards government & regulatory bodies, and in industry associations in coordination with Regulatory Affairs and the local Danish team
- Monitor regulatory / political developments and report to relevant internal departments on key regulatory risks and opportunities for RWE in Denmark, based on a wide range of reported sources and interactions with key stakeholders
- Distill regulatory intelligence into key messages, summarize major new policies and political developments, and report back to internal stakeholders both verbally and in writing in clear, succinct language
- Exercise acute local market and political insights to assess implications for RWE, and, in collaboration with RWEs experts, build up RWE positions on key regulatory topics
- Develop existing local networks with policy makers, industry and regulators relating to Danish energy policy, renewable energy developments and the offshore wind energy sector in particular. Also actively construct new networks in both central and local levels of governmental and regulatory networks
- Provide responses to consultation processes and actively engaging with all parties to do advocacy for RWE Renewables preferred positions
- Anticipate potential risks due to market regulatory framework changes, media and public opinion
- Work constructively in collaborative team environment
- Coordinate with RWE’s external regulatory advisor(s), and legal advisors, if necessary
Job Requirements:
- Fully completed university degree in Economics, Politics, Law, Business or in a comparable study
- Several years of relevant experience is required, e.g. at external advisors, developers, or local and national government departments and agencies
- Stakeholder management experience with exposure to issues relevant to renewable energy development, construction and operations within the Danish market; existing relevant network in the renewable market is necessary
- Advanced negotiation skills with ability to persuade through consensus building
- High interpersonal, presentation and communication skills which enable effective internal collaboration, local outreach programs with potential energy customers, community leaders and local organizations; experience in working with clients, managing internal stakeholders and working in international teams would be required
- Strong ethical and morally consciousness along with relevant compliance management experience is essential for this role
- Advanced organizational and time management skills, highly adaptable and used to working in multiple projects simultaneously with different deadlines
- Acting comfortably in cross-cultural teams, collaborating across country boundaries with a sense for diversity and inclusion; ability to building and maintain a contact network and business relationships
- Advanced oral and written skills in Danish and English is a prerequisite
