Location: West Drayton, London (Hybrid: 1-2 days on-site, with client site
visits)

Salary: £48,637 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance). This role
is a 1-year fixed term maternity cover position.

About West London Waste Authority (WLWA):

At WLWA, we are dedicated to pioneering sustainable waste management solutions across our six
boroughs, transforming waste handling and promoting environmental responsibility. We’re seeking
a visionary Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in the waste industry and
sustainability to lead our ambitious projects aimed at achieving a circular economy and driving
net-zero carbon emissions through innovative digital solutions.

The Role:

As the Senior Project Manager, you will be instrumental in:

  • Leading and delivering high-impact waste management projects from inception to completion.
  • Engaging with local government agencies, community groups, and industry partners to advance
    our sustainability and net-zero goals.
  • Managing project budgets for the digital twin programme focused on implementing
    efficiencies in borough waste-related services.

Your Impact:

  • Manage the development of a central system to create a single source of truth for all waste
    data for WLWA and the boroughs to deliver cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Work in cross-functional teams to support other initiatives such as access to services and
    social value and reuse programmes, with the digital twin providing critical underpinning
    information.
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders and foster a culture of data-driven decision
    making within the Authority and externally.
  • Champion the principles of the circular economy and work towards achieving net-zero carbon
    emissions in all projects.

Who You Are:

  • A degree holder in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field, with a robust
    background in project management.
  • An experienced project or team leader with a proven track record in managing change,
    particularly within the waste management and sustainability sectors.
  • A strategic thinker with a passion for sustainability and a commitment to community values.
