About the job:

Based in Braine l’Alleud, Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour.

The Senior Project Manager leads all activities linked to one or more projects of medium size and complexity, to deliver Products to the Customer (either External or Internal) with direct business impact and firm deadlines.

We are looking for driven and enthusiastic Senior Project Managers who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Project Management: takes full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects (typically with direct business impact and firm deadlines);
  • Requirements definition and management: contributes to selection of the requirements approach for projects, selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches;
  • User experience evaluation: manages user experience evaluation of systems, products or services, to assure that the usability and accessibility requirements have been met, required practice has been followed, and systems in use continue to meet organisational and user needs;
  • Contract management: oversees and measures the fulfilment of contractual obligations;
  • Business risk management: investigates and reports on hazards and potential risk events within a specific function or business area.

About you:

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

  • Bachelor’s degree, at a nationally recognized /certified University, preferably in an information systems, physics or electronics related scientific or engineering discipline, or other relevant scientific discipline and 3 years post-related experience. Or exceptionally, the lack of a degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is at least 10 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post;
  • A formal project management qualification such as PRINCE 2 or PMI PMP;
  • Recent experience (at least 3 years) in Project management of C4ISR acquisition and/ or development projects for a large organization;
  • Experience in planning, design, system engineering and implementation of military or other C4ISR systems;
  • Experience in Project Management tools, managing cost and labour;
  • Recent experience (at least three years) and knowledge in the successful project management of ICT projects for a large, preferably international, organization;
  • Experience and certification in Management of Risk (MoR) is desirable;
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
