The purpose of this role is to deliver project management and advisory services for internal and external clients. You will assist in the management and oversight of all aspects of project delivery, including design management.This will involve leading, directing, motivating and coordinating activities of a multidisciplinary project team where you will conduct system integration design and implementation in the field, applying system engineering methods and techniques. You will use your superior organizational skills to manage schedules, budgets, project risks and system interfaces. Using your excellent communication skills you will have the ability to manage challenging stakeholders in a dynamic environment combined with the ability to problem-solve effectively.Is this role right for you?To ensure that Arup can continue to deliver top quality work, we are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Preferably 15 years of experience directly in airport operations equipment, associated controls and system software operations, but at least 10 years is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years in an engineering, design and commissioning role.
  • You will have broad systems knowledge including Data networks and communication systems (data, radio, WiFi etc), Security systems (access control, CCTV etc), Airport operational systems (terminal, pier and apron systems) and Building systems (control & monitoring, public address)
  • Extensive experience within Systems integration and assurance including Requirements management, Scope management, Interface management Configuration management and Test and commissioning management
  • University degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration or a relevant, directly related discipline, or equivalent.
  • Preferably European Engineer (Eur Ing), Chartered Engineer (UK) or Professional Engineer (US) accredited.
  • IPMA- (level B), APM, PMI or Prince 2- qualified, or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
