Our primary goal is to ensure the safe, optimal, and competitive delivery of lifesaving medications to patients at all times. In addition to scaling up Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) from lab scale to commercial production, the pilot and commercial plants also play a meaningful role in supplying medicines necessary for vital clinical studies before a product launch. To fulfill our mission, we consistently invest in innovative technologies, dedicated individuals, and strategic partnerships.Our teams are working together in a dynamic environment where your contributions will be valued, and you’ll collaborate with passionate colleagues who share a ‘can do’ mentalityJob Summary:As a Project Delivery Engineer your primary objective is to facilitate breakthrough enhancements in the manufacturing process, focusing on the development of business cases; scoping; designing and implementing new process equipment and systems, supporting our New Product Introductions in Beerse and Geel. In pursuit of this goal, you will collaborate closely with the Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, Clinical Development and Supply and New Product Introduction departments.Your responsibilities will include:

• Act as project delivery engineer at appropriate stages from inception to completion
• Design and selection of engineering alternatives for complex production and processing equipment
• Prepare project intakes; including scoping, business case analysis, alternatives assessments; communicating the selected option and alternatives for project approval
• Establish alignment with the project sponsor and aligns core and extended team members to deliver the final project objectives
• Lead the design, execution and close out of all project-related activities including leading internal project resources and the procurement of third-party contractors and suppliers. Project budget range up to 1Million USD.
• Uses Risk Management methodologies to identify and handle risks to Final Project Objectives in alignment with project customers
• Act as mentor to external Project engineers
• Maintain awareness of external environment, giving value and insights
• Keep up to date with new chemical process technologies

QualificationsEducation:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent University degree in a Science, Technology or Engineering field is required. Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience is required
• An innovative drive to make the difference and achieve results. Combination of analytical and technical skills to understand and solve complex issues as well as derive related business needs.
• Ability to efficiently execute technology study work and optimization projects in both an R&D/development and a commercial production environment
• Passionate about bringing innovative ideas, products and services to life, demonstrating strong project management and change management skills.
• Flexible, can adapt to changing priorities and challenging timelines
• An individual who feels that safety and quality is of a paramount importance
• Through communicative and social skills lead to work together as a standout colleague, contributing to an energetic work environment in all levels of the organization.
• Coordination of and collaboration with a wide variety of internal and external resources, strong networker
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry guidelines specific to the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industry
• Proficient in English and Dutch (or willing to learn Dutch).
