The position
As our new Senior Project Controller, you will be managing financials within larger investment projects, focusing on cost management, planning, project resources, purchase orders, progress reports, forecasting, and risk management.
Your day-to-day areas of responsibilities include:
-Developing, creating, monitoring and executing cost controls
-Supplement your business/finance/accounting knowledge with broad technical knowledge within pharmaceutical production
-Build a broad network in Novo Nordisk with regular contact with many different areas of the business to govern solutions within the projects
-Support and guide the project controllers in other departments
-Create standards and tools for project controlling
Overall, you will collaborate with project teams members, project management and programme personnel to ensure robust project controls processes are implemented and managed throughout the project life cycle
Please note that due to the international nature of the role, some travelling might occur during the year.
Qualifications
The ideal colleague has broad knowledge and experience working in capital projects with project controls responsibility within cost management, risk management and planning, other than experience in autonomously performing project controls tasks in projects from idea to execution phase.
To be successful in this role, you:
-Hold an academic degree in in Finance, Accounting, Business or other relevant area
-Have extensive experience in cost/project control position that involved investment projects
-Have experience with hands-on execution of project controls tasks involving project controls systems, SAP and interfacing to Finance and Procurement functions
-Have track record of defining, developing, and enforcing project controls requirements in contract and procurement processes
-Are fluent in spoken and written English
It would be seen as an advantage if you have gained experience within a pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry, as well as having an understanding within construction projects for building facilities and purchase of major equipment.
As a person, you are curious to learn and attentive to details. You are structured and can work independently across a broad stakeholder landscape, and this approach and detail orientation allows you to maintain a broad overview while keeping an eye for the details.
You like to work in project environment, where plans can change from one day to the other and are able to collaborate effortlessly with everyone. It comes easy for you to translate complex issues into communication and presentations, easily absorbed by upper management.

About the department
You will be part of the Project Controlling & Governance (PCG), residing in the Emerging Technologies Expansions. The team consists of 3 dedicated colleagues located in Taastrup that are responsible for supporting major investment projects, within project controlling and governance.
