As our global footprint is expanding, we are seeking a Senior Product Specialist Wire and Cable to join our EMEA team.

Connecting with global experts, you will be focusing on Medium-Voltage and High-Voltage (MV/HV) cable systems, covering the entire life cycle of power cables including qualification, pre-qualification, quality assurance, factory acceptance test, commissioning, maintenance and diagnostic testing or forensic analysis. Main tasks will be developing and promoting UL Solutions MV/HV cable services, including the support and management of MV/HV sales in the European & Middle East and Africa region, by presenting and adapting service portfolio to customers, developing new customers and/or new service offerings.

In more detail:

  • Drive sales and product management team on new business development initiatives.

  • Evaluate and build technical solutions and pricing per the customer’s request for proposal (RFP).

  • Maintain daily work records with accuracy and integrity.

  • Provide technical input and advice to management.

  • Develop close working relationships with customers while increasing customer satisfaction.

  • Analyze customer requirements and market needs and recommend existing services or develop new services to accommodate such needs.

  • Negotiate prices with customers.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, marketing or Business Management.

  • More than 7-10 years of relevant industry experience, such as working with/for MV/HV or high-power laboratories, MV/HV cable manufacturers, power utilities etc. Familiarity with power transmission and distribution systems.

  • Knowledge and experience in related industrial and international standards for MV/HV cable systems, including but not limited to ICEA/AEIC, IEEE, IEC, and CIGRE standards is a plus.

  • Experiences in technical sales or marketing positions, particularly with power utilities or in power transmission and distribution area is a plus.

  • Able to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers and make formal presentations to people at all levels, both within and outside the company.

  • Knowledge of basic computer software in the MS Office suite.

  • Able to handle multiple assignments concurrently without direct supervision.

  • Customer-centric mindset.

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable DMV record with a willingness to accept extended travel assignments (25-50% of the time).
