Job Title Senior Product manager Sanctions ModelsJob DescriptionAs Senior Product Manager Sanctions Models at Rabobank you will contribute to achieving the purpose of the FEC domain; protecting Rabobank and society for money-laundering, terrorism financing and sanctions violations. Your focus will be on the functional design of the Sanctions Detection models and tools, like Transaction Filtering, Name Screening and Pre-Trade screening models. You are the (delegate) “model- and risk owner” of these models. You will be the central lead in the triangle between model development, business and compliance.Your responsibilitiesYour activities as Senior Product Manager Sanctions Models include:

  • taking the lead in the Sanctions Model lifecycle events in close cooperation with the Model Developers: the model validation process, model monitoring, model changes, implementing improvements and reporting on the models in scope.
  • solving the findings and incidents that might occur related to the models and find the balance between model risk and business value.
  • participate in defining new or optimized policy and procedures and translate them into requirements for the model changes.
  • work very closely with model development and model validation team to assure that our models deliver the best output possible.

In your job you strive for the optimized connection between the Sanctions Detection models, the value chain for alert handling and the risk appetite of Rabobank. You are responsible for setting priorities in change and development of the models in scope. You are able to take the initiative for improvements and optimizations of the models.The teamYou will be part of the team Global Sanctions Detection Models & Solution that operates under the umbrella of Control & Standards within the Area Sanctions. We are building up the team and the plan is to expand to 12 to 15 FTE. It is an expert driven team with a strong affinity with IT and model management.   • You are responsible for developing our vision and roadmap for Sanctions Models management
  • Ensuring that Sanctions Detection Models at Rabobank are fit for purpose and are aligned to applicable Global Policies and Standards;
  • Assure the right balance between risk based approach and business value
  • Full fill the role of delegate Model-Owner according to the Model Risk Framework and model lifecycle events
  • Execute stakeholder management on a professional level based on an in-depth knowledge of the models in scope and expertise on risks related.
  • Contribute in establishing the Global Sanctions Detection Models Teams as trusted and respected function throughout the Sanctions area and the FEC domain and in particular, with front line business partners

  • Relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree;

7 years banking experience and/or experience in model management functions. * Extensive knowledge and experience in Sanctions and the FEC domain at a bank;

  • Experience with risks related to Sanctions, Money laundering and Terrorism Financing
  • Strong affinity with IT, preferably with rules based technology and/or statistics
  • Oversight. Capable of linking the functioning of models to policies and standards;
  • You are flexible and goal driven and able to deliver quality in short timelines;
  • Connection. Capable of building and maintaining solid business relationships with a large stakeholder field
  • You are able to understand complex processes and dataflows
  • We expect excellent English speaking and writing skills

This is what we offer you

  • Scale 11, depending on your knowledge and experience. With a maximum of € 8.334.
  • Thirteenth month’s salary and 8% holiday allowance.
