(Senior) Procurement Consultant, Global Sourcing Transformation Department

Join us for an exciting career within procurement and business development in Lundbeck, located at our global headquarter in Copenhagen, Denmark. We are looking for 4-5 new procurement consultants with strong credentials to join a new newly established Global Sourcing Transformation department as part of Corporate Procurement.

Your future team

We are a global team of around 50 employees in Corporate Procurement, working out of offices in Copenhagen, Chicago, and Krakow and together with the global organisation, we manage the total external spend of DKK ~8 billion. We do this by building strategies and executing improvement projects to optimise the global spend related to, e.g. R&D activities, marketing services, travel, professional advisory services, IT and larger investment projects (capex). To do so we collaborate with senior stakeholders at Senior Vice President level and their teams across the organisation. We work fact-based, are committed to collaborative problem solving and take active leadership for the initiatives we are involved in. We invest significant resources in developing our employees through, e.g., coaching and frequent feedback and by giving a large responsibility to individuals. Corporate Procurement is anchored with direct report to the CFO of Lundbeck.

Your new role

As a Procurement Consultant you will use your solid business mindset and strong analytical toolbox to develop and implement sourcing project strategies for multiple spend categories in conjunction with cross-functional project teams and Category Managers. Besides this, you will work with developing our sourcing strategies through sound and fact-based analyses. You will work closely with our key stakeholders on identifying business improvement projects and sourcing opportunities in our global organisation and drive (facilitate) negotiation and relationship management with our suppliers. You will manage (facilitate) relevant governance boards within your sourcing projects and act as business partner across the organisation ensuring the best outcomes for Lundbeck.

What you bring to the team

-Educational Background: Master’s degree in business administration, law, engineering, natural sciences, or related fields with a strong business/economics component. It would be an advantage with a few years of experience from consulting company.
-Leadership Skills
: Demonstrates natural leadership abilities, taking initiative and setting high professional standards for themselves and their colleagues.
-Effective Communication
: Able to articulate and present ideas clearly, both in writing and verbally, with the ability to engage and influence various stakeholders, including senior leadership and suppliers.
-Analytical and Strategic Thinking
: Proven ability to conduct fact-based analysis, identify business improvement opportunities, and develop category strategies.
-Curiosity and Learning
: High degree of curiosity and eagerness to understand the value chain in large, complex organizations.
-IT Proficiency
: Tech proficient with strong proficiency in relevant IT tools and systems.
-Language Skills
: Fluent in both English and Danish.
-Collaboration and Negotiation
: Able to work effectively with colleagues globally and drive successful negotiations with suppliers.
-Presentation Skills
: Excellent ability to create and deliver professional presentations.
-Experience with driving sourcing projects and processes
, hereunder RFPs, category strategy execution is considered a strong asset.
