Do you dream of being part of a growing research team focusing on expanding our existing product portfolio to include innovative new solid support for solid-phase synthesis? Do you have experience with large scale synthesis, and do you dare to explore? Then you might be our new senior scientist in R&D Research at Novo Nordisk Pharmatech (NNPR) in Køge.
The position
As our new Polymer Scientist at NNPR, you’ll be a key player in pioneering new materials and technologies that will shape the future within resin development. You will become a critical part of our project team, taking ideas and concepts from early-stage development all the way through to final product launch.
Key responsibilities include:
-Design and synthesize novel polymers tailored for cutting-edge applications.
-Develop and optimize polymer formulations for various applications, ensuring their scalability and robustness.
-Translate lab-scale synthesis and formulations to pilot-scale and full-scale production processes.
-Work with cross-functional teams to transform research insights into groundbreaking commercial products.
-Prepare technical reports, and presentations, to showcase your research findings.
-Characterize polymer properties using advanced techniques like spectroscopy, chromatography, microscopy, light scattering techniques and thermal analysis.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position has:
-A strong scientific academic background, plus a minimum of 10 years of experience in synthetic polymerization techniques, organic chemistry, colloidal chemistry or similar.
-Proficiency in conducting laboratory experiments, including polymer synthesis, colloidal chemistry, and characterization.
-Demonstrated ability to scale-up processes from the lab to pilot scales and knowledge of production scale.
-Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
-Experience in industrial R&D or product development is preferred.
-Solid written and spoken skills in English as well as the ability to communicate with peers and stakeholders across the organization and members of senior management.

About the department
As scientist in R&D Research you will be part of the innovation of new products. The department consist of 16 highly motivated and skilled scientists and laboratory technicians, divided into two teams. Our research team is dedicated to pioneering and advancing products specifically designed for affinity resin applications. We work closely with the R&D Manufacturing Development teams and the New Product Marketing team as well as several close collaborators.
