Senior Platform Engineer (GCP) Opportunity
Lynx Recruitment are currently working with a global IT consultancy and Google Cloud Premier Partner that’s specialise in cloud strategy and migration, cloud hosting, big data and machine learning.
They are looking to add an experienced Platform Engineer with experience working within a GCP environment to their team.
- London, Remote working
- £70,000 – £80,000
Key responsibilities:
- Build and manage GCP environments for deploying applications and data analytics pipelines
- Engineer GCP solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code
- Integrate, configure, deploy, and manage common cloud services
- Manage software networks in GCP
- Ensure compliance with security and operational risk standards
- Automate processes using APIs and workflows
- Implement patches and updates
- Update support and operational documentation as needed
- Troubleshoot and assist application support and development teams
- Ensure good change management practices according to central standards
- Provide impact assessments for proposed changes to customers’ GCP platforms
Experience:
- Degree educated within an IT or Business-related field
- Experience in building a range of Services in a GCP provider
- Strong understanding of SRE & DevOps principles
- Good understanding of CI/CD, preferably Jenkins and available tools
- Excellent communication skills
- Ideally, GCP certified
