STU24-022AAbout the roleThis is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant central employability team. We’re recruiting a Senior Placements Officer to lead the international mobility and Turing activities. Reporting to the Placements Manager, you will leverage your placements and international mobility expertise to lead the delivery of the Turing grant, engaging an increasing number of students on international study trips, exchange activities, work and volunteering abroad experiences.Key responsibilities include supervising a Placement Officer staff, writing and leading the administration of the Turing mobility bid, managing promotional campaigns to increase students undertaking international placements/mobility and negotiating mobility agreements with international partners and providers. You will lead group study trips overseas ensuring that students have a positive learning experience and will work closely with other Senior Placements Officers to ensure that a robust menu of placement and international mobility options is available. You will also represent international mobility at events including career fairs and Open Days across our Stoke and London campuses.The ideal candidate will have a degree (or equivalent), substantial experience in international mobility, Turing, employability delivery, and a proven ability to manage students and engage placement providers, preferably in HE.
