Senior Operations Manager – Digital Fulfillment in Remote, Germany

Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end process of digital order fulfillment globally. Perform the daily operations of digital fulfillment operations to ensure reliability and consistency digital orders. Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Has significant input into priorities. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of digital fulfillment processes to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety. Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards. Team management of salaried employees. This does not include production supervisors who oversee hourly employees.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. Implement best practices and innovative solutions.

  • Oversee inventory levels to ensure stock availability, accuracy and inventory records and timely replenishment.

  • Utilize and manage digital fulfillment systems and technologies, ensuring they are effectively integrated and utilized to streamline operations.

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for fulfillment operations, analyze data to drive decision-making, and report performance to senior management.

  • Address and resolve fulfillment-related customer issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and timely resolution of problems.

  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure effective service delivery and maintain strong relationships.

  • Contributes towards strategic planning efforts, including forecasting demand, scaling operations and implementing new fulfillment strategies and standards to support business growth.

  • Ensure that digital fulfillment operation complies with relevant regulations and safety standards.

  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires significant experience in the Manufacturing & Operation Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master’s degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

  • For roles in USA – Master’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience

  • Strong management and leadership abilities, including experience in team development, performance management and conflict resolution.

  • Extensive experience in operations or supply chain management.

  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and techniques and ability to analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and make data driven decisions.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $110,160.00-$165,240.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
