Title: Senior Medical Director, Aesthetic Medical LeadCompany: Ipsen Pharma (SAS)Job Description:PositionJob Title: Senior Medical Director, Aesthetic Medical LeadDivision / Function: CMO, Global Medical Affairs, NeuroscienceManager (Name, Job Title): Dr Hamzah Baig, VP GMA NeuroscienceLocation: UK (London), France (Boulogne-Billancourt), USA (Cambridge, MA)Summary / purpose of the positionThe Aesthetic Medical Lead is responsible for the Aesthetic Medical Strategy and optimal execution of the Medical plan to ensure the timely achievement of the cross-functional objectives.They are a leading member of the Aesthetic Team (AT) and lead or delegate appropriate Aesthetic Sub-teams including the Medical Affairs Sub Team.Main responsibilities / job expectationsHighly pro-active cross functional working, leading member of the Aesthetic Team and a leader within the Global Cross-Functional Teams for NeuroscienceAccountable for appropriate Sub Teams as agreed with the Aesthetic GPPS Lead and VP GMA NeuroscienceDefine the Aesthetic strategy to maximize value: Lead the creation and communication of integrated evidence generation plan (IEGP)Leading contributor to New Asset TPP/TVPLead HCP Engagement to foster deep medical insightsAdd proactive value to the Clinical Development Team and plansGenerates ideas for Lifecycle Management based on deep insightsManagement of global asset medical studies and programs including performance and safety and GCP complianceWork with the Head of GMA Neuroscience to develop annual medical affairs strategic and tactical plansEnsure the right allocation of effort, resource and alignment on priorities together with VP GMA NeuroscienceBuilds the Asset budget and 5YP plan and ensures optimal executionFoster Patient Engagement all along the value chainCollaborate cross-functionally in multiple areas including publication planning, speaker education programs, advisory board meetings, insights and evidence generation, manuscript development and review, development of medical affairs field resources, conference preparation and management.Represent the company to groups of experts including medical professionals, societies, and regulatory at scientific meetings. Regular communication is expected with the external medical community to remain abreast of issues in the field and to provide medical support and direction.Engagement with targeted key opinion leaders, key institutions, prominent academic and clinical investigators, and leaders of the medical community in scientific discussions, consistent with Medical Plan objectives.Attend and lead medical affairs activities at major conferences and make presentations to external audiences.Knowledge, abilities & experienceAdvanced Clinical/Science degree (e.g. Ph.D., MD, PharmD) in the life sciences or other relevant scientific or clinical disciplineA minimum of 10 years of Medical Affairs experience within the Pharmaceutical/ Biotech Industry with local/affiliate experienceExperience of Injectable Aesthetics, Dermatology, Plastic Surgery or DevicesExperience in Phase IV studiesDemonstrated experience in leading and managing high performing teamsDemonstrated experience in leading the development and execution of medical/scientific strategies and plansDemonstrated experience leading and managing cross-functional projects with significant business impactCommunication and presentation skills; highly effective at summarizing and presenting key considerations and decision-pointsGood interpersonal and influencing skills; can effectively and quickly establish rapport with all key internal/external partners and stakeholders and influence without authorityFunctions with excellent judgment, high integrity and in compliance with all laws, regulations and policies.Key Technical Competencies RequiredMust have demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent judgment and ability to work in a matrix team environment.Must have experience of working in an affiliate/launch experienceAbility to travel to domestic and international conferences, which will include occasional weekend travel, is required.Demonstrated ability to proactively and positively engage teams through multiple communication channels including telephone, e-mail, Internet, and face-to-faceDemonstrated high level of personal integrity, emotional intelligence, flexibilityDemonstrated ability to build positive constructive relationships with cross-functional team membersAbility to initiate and maintain relationships throughout the medical communityAbility to understand and effectively communicate scientific information; respond to inquiries and address needs of key stakeholdersUnderstanding of the highly regulated biopharmaceutical industry environmentUnderstanding of Neurotoxins and injectable Aesthetic treatments preferredDans le cadre de ses recrutements IPSEN s’engage au respect de l’égalité de traitement des candidats, indépendamment du sexe, de l’âge, de l’orientation sexuelle, de l’origine ethnique, de la couleur de la peau, de la nationalité, du handicap ou de l’appartenance à un syndicat.
