Job DescriptionThis role is Billund based and the successful candidate must live and work in Denmark fulltimeAs the Head of Product / Senior Marketing Management Director for LEGO CITY in our Product Group (PG) Core Business, you will be responsible for the journey from vision through to execution, leading the global long-term brand strategy, leading the cross functional LEGO CITY team to deliver compelling product innovation, communications and brand experiences that excite and delight consumers & shoppers in their with the brand.Play your part in our team succeedingIn PG Core Businesses we focus on innovating and growing our established franchises to ensure they continue to thrive as our biggest drivers of market penetration, commercial contribution as well as brand equity.LEGO CITY is a cornerstone business for The LEGO GROUP. It is how most kids get their hands first time on a LEGO Brick and stay connected with for many years. It is a big, highly visible and exciting role to be Head of Product for such a pivotal LEGO brand.Core ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for the global business performance as well as the longer-term strategic direction of the LEGO CITY business and brand. From a leadership perspective, you will lead a cross-functional team to deliver sustainable commercial and market penetration growth. Additionally, you will:

  • Define + drive the Franchise vision, long-term strategy and short-term business plan.
  • Hold the decision mandate for the Franchise, incl. trade-offs (time/cost/quality).
  • Elevate & scale the brand strategy across regions and touchpoints.
  • Own proguct, communications, & entertainment content strategy and execution.
  • Be global Product P&L responsible, incl. business steering and in-year adjustments.
  • Have daily leadership of the on-site cross-functional team and be people leader to a global marketing team.
  • Be the primary contact point for all key partners including agencies and Business Units.
  • Manage senior stakeholders to deliver the brand plans
  • Ongoingly evaluate and improve ways of working to drive effectiveness.

  • Highly proficient senior leader that has had extensive business, people and team leadership experience.
  • You are an inspiring brand marketeer at heart.
  • Strategic, commercially astute, a strong communicator, and motivated by developing impactful teams + individuals.
  • Experienced marketing professional, with solid and proven track record with brand building and driving a consumer faced brand growth and health.
  • Seasoned in communication strategy and global coordinated marketing campaigns, with a deep awareness of the media and digital landscape.
  • Have worked with product development, translating strategy into innovation pipeline, within an agile setup.
  • Has demonstrated thought leadership, a willingness to take calculated risks and agility in responding to the changing external landscape.
  • Proven experience of operating and developing broad partner networks (internal & external) & very strong collaboration skills.
  • Solid understanding of the E2E value chain (global through to regional and local).
  • Global experience with a consumer facing product, regional or local experience is a nice-to-have.
