Hasbro SA, based in Delemont Switzerland, manufactures and sells Hasbro toy and games products around the world. Hasbro European Trading BV (‘HET’) is Hasbro SA’s distributor in Europe, which sells to Hasbro SA’s customers in all major European countries. Hasbro International Trading BV (‘HIT’) is Hasbro SA’s distributor for Direct/FOB sales in Europe Hasbro BV (‘the Company’) provides sales/marketing and other services to HET and HIT in the Netherlands. Hasbro Emerging Markets BV (‘the Company’) provides services to Hasbro SA in supporting its third party distributor markets.
Hasbro, a global play and entertainment company, is currently seeking a Senior Manager International Tax to join our team. The Senior Manager International Tax, reporting into the Director International Tax in the US, will be a key leader within the Corporate Tax team responsible to support the corporate income tax aspects of cross-border business operations in the EMEA region. This includes, but is not limited to, local country operations support, tax planning and strategy, tax controversy and audit management, transfer pricing operations, and tax compliance, reporting & provision work.
Role Responsibilities
-Support Hasbro’s business operations in the EMEA region by advising both tax and non-tax stakeholders regarding the income tax consequences of local country and cross-border transactions and business initiatives.
-Support the Hasbro’s global tax planning and strategy function by identifying, recommending, and implementing tax planning opportunities in the region.
-Manage income tax compliance, reporting & provision matters for the region. Including liaising with global tax compliance team, third party tax advisors and external auditors, as needed.
-Manage income tax audits in the EMEA region and drive tax risk mitigation strategies including liaising with internal teams, external advisors, and taxing authorities, as necessary. Support non-income tax audits, inquiries, and transfer pricing reviews.
-Monitor, quantify and proactively communicate the cash tax and P/L impact of changes in corporate tax rules including but not limited to changes in local law and tax treaties.
-Partner with transfer pricing operations and finance shared services teams to ensure compliance with the Hasbro’s transfer pricing policies and operating protocols, and support country-by-country reporting.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
-10+ years of relevant experience in corporate tax gained as a tax advisor at a tax consultancy firm or multinational corporation.
-Advanced degree in Tax is preferred.
-U.S. GAAP tax accounting experience (ASC 740/FAS 109/FIN 48/FAS 5) is preferred.
-Experience supporting commercial initiatives and advising business partners and executives on tax risk and opportunity.
-Excellent analytical and project management skills.
-Self-starter, structured worker, hands-on mentality with very strong communication skills.
-Ability to work independently as well as within cross-functional teams.
-Fluency in English (verbally and written) required. Bilingual or multilingual is a plus.
-Ability and willingness to travel occasionally.
