- Discussing innovative developments with inventors, researchers, business units and commercial teams and providing IP advisory service to them.
- Conducting drafting, prosecution and enforcement work, responding to office actions from patent offices of different jurisdictions.
- Carrying out prior art, patent landscape, and freedom to operate (FTO) searches and analysis.
- Drafting patentability, FTO, and validity opinions and provide patent validity, and infringement advice to stakeholders in the relevant business units.
- Working with and managing outside IP counsel with respect to prosecution, search, and opinion work where warranted.
- Handling IP related aspects of contractual agreements with external partners, universities, and other research institutions.
- Contributing where necessary to IP due diligence projects.

- University Degree in Biology, Biochemistry or related Life Sciences fields (Pharmaceutical and Biomedical fields). PhD would be considered an asset.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience working within an in-house IP department or a private practice firm. Experience in the Pharma industry is a plus.
- Fully qualified European Patent Attorney.
- High level in English, both oral and written.
