The Product Innovation and Intelligence department’s primary objective is to lead the sustainable growth of Ascendis Pharma’s pipeline by identifying the best-in-class product opportunities and keeping the business optimally informed on developments in the competitive landscape.

The Product Innovation and intelligence Manager will play a critical role in Ascendis’ success in Endocrinology Rare Disease area. He/she will be the driving force providing high quality information enabling the informed decision-making across the company, by gathering, analyzing, and transforming data into actional insights which can propel company’s growth. He/she will collaborate and interface with cross-functional key stakeholders and is expected to communicate in a clear, scientific, and data-driven manner.

This right candidate will report to Director of Product Innovation and Intelligence and become an integrated part of a very dedicated and experienced group consisting of senior leaders from Innovation, Research, Competitive Intelligence, and Intellectual Property.

Your key responsibility will be:

  • Lead competitive intelligence efforts through collection, analysis, and dissemination of information to create a unified understanding of the market landscape
  • Act as strategic thought partner across different functions and teams, collaborate to plan and execute market research projects and deep dive analytics to support key business decisions
  • Stay current on key publications (e.g., scientific literature, analyst reports, regulatory documents) and share findings with key stakeholders
  • Contribute to special projects or operational initiatives, as needed (e.g., patient advocacy collaboration, global reach planning, scenario planning and forecasting use of drug supply)
  • Establish processes, structures, and templates to support Ascendis’ growth (e.g., business case process, market landscape tracker)
  • Evaluate business cases within portfolio context to prioritize opportunities
  • Participate in relevant conferences
  • Contribute to identify new product opportunities and conduct opportunity assessments using Ascendis’ algorithm and approach

Qualifications and Skills:

You hold a relevant university degree in the life sciences – a master and preferably a PhD in Pharmacy, Biology, Pharmacology, or the like.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Already a proven record of accomplishment within biotech, pharma, or consultancy company with 5 – 10 years’ experience
  • Experience in developing business cases, analyzing competitive intelligence, and conducting scientific and technical analysis and presenting it on a high level
  • English at a professional level, both written and spoken, and you master MS Office
