We fully support the EU’s efforts for a more sustainable world. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expert knowledge of EU institutions and the co-decision-making process, along with excellent organizational skills and a high English language proficiency,Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesPolicy Coordination and industry positioning:

  • Over the coming two years, we foresee rapid growth of the energy market players joining the association. You will play a key role in engaging industry leaders in public events, ensuring our voice is represented in key policies and our members are actively involved and contributing expertise;
  • If you are passionate about communicating the great (and untapped) enabling potential of digital technologies in driving the green transition, this role will be for you. You will be supported by excellent communications and outreach colleagues to craft impactful stories.

Wondering what type of tasks you will be undertaking? Here is a quick snapshot:

  • Leading our working group and coordinating input from our membership on important energy and climate policy issues that relate to digital;
  • Leading the engagement with key officials in the EU institutions on important energy policies that relate to digital as well as;
  • Leading the development of important alliances with NGOs and delivering roundtables with executives from our membership to encourage a dialogue with policymakers on the contribution of digital to the Energy sector and how this relates also to Buildings and Mobility;
  • Delivering expertise from our membership, in collaboration with the Communications Team, on important announcements on energy/climate policy showcasing the role of digital;
  • Ensure that

proposals are taken on board by the European Commission and EU Member States; * Leverage our project work which includes the European Green Digital Coalition;

  • Support for Recruitment Goals in the energy sector:
  • Work with the Senior Member Relations Manager to support communication and marketing efforts aimed at attracting and growing membership in the energy sector;
  • Ensure high-level presence in key government-industry conferences, DIGITALEUROPE’s high-level executive vertical councils and workshops focused on digital issues impacting the energy sector.

Key requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience;
  • You understand the ins and outs of the energy sector and you hold great knowledge of the EU institutions and how policymaking works in Brussels;
  • You are very organized and comfortable with managing multiple projects;
  • You are always willing to go the extra mile to achieve objectives and you are not shy to take initiative and suggest new ways to optimise our work;
  • You have excellent writing and speaking skills. English is our main working language;
  • You enjoy working in a multicultural environment and you have a high team spirit;
  • You have the ability to multitask, work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines;
  • A strong ability to network within the digital technology sector is a big bonus;
  • Strong research skills are also a big bonus.
