The Position
As Senior Manager, you oversee the Pack team consisting of 2 managers and a total of 30 employees. You are responsible for the Supply Planning (Purchase planning) but also the Supply Management team (Supply Relation Management) for the entire Pack category, reporting into the Director of Inbound Supply Management. In addition, you serve as a key member of the Inbound Supply Management leadership team.
This means that in this role, you will take on responsibility for the operational landscape by ensuring timely deliveries and effectively managing supplier performance.
Your key tasks include:
-Creating an environment that prioritises well-being, people development, and innovation both within the team and across departments
-Collaborating closely with our Strategic Sourcing department to drive and set the direction for the category, ensuring the execution of the category projects
-Assessing regularly supplier performance and engaging directly with the suppliers in the operational and strategic business reviews
-Driving continuous improvement in supplier performance while building strong partnerships
-Maintaining an end-to-end thinking to facilitate robust collaboration with the purchase planning and the Supply Management teams
-Ensuring timely delivery and inventory build-up according to the agreed policies
Your responsibilities will also encompass developing, implementing, and maintaining KPIs, along with establishing the requirements for warehouse capacity.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we think you:
-Hold an academic degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain, operations, or a related field
-Bring proven expertise as a people leader with a talent for fostering engagement, ideally with experience in managing other leaders
-Demonstrate at least 10 years of experience in Supply Chain, preferably in supply management
-Showcase a strategic thinking, coupled with solid communication and stakeholder management abilities
-Display proficiency in both spoken and written English
Relevant certifications such as APICS CSCP, Six Sigma, and/or project management are considered a plus.

About the Department
Inbound Supply Management is part of Sourcing Operations, which has the overall operational responsibility for the inbound supply chain of Novo Nordisk and consists of 650 employees. We use our differences to create novel ideas and high-quality solutions to ensure continuous improvement of the Sourcing Operations function globally.
