In this role you will be responsible for the operation compliance within the E&PS (Engineering & Property Services) and take ownership over Maintenance Systems within EPS.The subdepartment Compliance & Maintenance Systems supports the various facility management groups taking care of production, R&D, and warehouses on the Beerse, Geel, Olen, Merksem, La Louviere, Courcelles and Ghent sites with focus on current and future needs. Together with the teams on the sites you will be responsible for a compliant state of systems EPS owns.You will lead the following pillars within our organisation:
- Together with local teams your staff is responsible for compliance on our sites,
- Maintain knowledge related to operational compliance,
- Be a reliable partner for our customers in day-to-day operations and during audits,
- Vision & strategy within our department, locally and worldwide,
- Motivator to the group and leading teams focusing on Operational Compliance, Calibration/Certification and document management.
Key activities include, but are not limited to:1. Calibration and Certificationa. Leading the calibration and certification team (internal and external),b. Ensure capabilities meet expectations of our customers on site and take the lead in changes needed,c. Connect in between departments and keep knowledge at the right level.2. Compliancea. You keep the sites in a continuous ‘inspection ready’ state and you are responsible for the compliance status of all our activities (both operational compliance and commissioning/qualification in capital investments,b. Strategies, methodologies, and knowledge being built in your team,c. You empower a team performing activities in the operational groups,d. Stakeholders can rely on you during audits and crises.3. Technical Documentation Groupa) You lead a team and defines new concepts & methodologies,b) Responsible for quality levels according to KPI,c) SPOC role on which our stakeholders can rely.Your key responsibilities:
- System ownership using operations according to life cycle validation methodology,
- Leading & mentoring team with variable workload due to project support,
- Identifying needs & solutions related to commissioning & quality within projects,
- Gatekeeper on the use of external resources (Agidens, Advipro, QBD, CMI, Arcadis, …),
- Spokesperson during inspections,
- Work in close collaboration with local EPS leadership.
QualificationsIT’S ALL ABOUT YOUTo be successful, you demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within a virtual matrix environment. Further requirements include:
- Hands on experience with GxP in a life sciences environment or equivalent,
- Ability to define and implement solutions with limited direction from their manager,
- Creativity to anticipate customer needs and develop resourceful solutions to meet needs with limited resources,
- Fluent in Dutch and English is a must,
- Strong communication (written & verbal), problem-solving, influence, organizing, and time management skills,
- Good social skills and the ability to influence management,
- Willing to step into an ‘on call’ system every 8 weeks,
- Ability to provide support to multiple customers/business units,
- Ability to explain complex issues and requirements in an easily understood manner,
- Stress resistant because of workload and conflicting priorities,
- Can negotiate in a diplomatic way when interfacing – associates, local and country inspectors,
- Ability to quickly interpret sophisticated regulatory issues and provide recommended course of action,
- Ability to work in a matrix, team-oriented environment.
