Core scope includes Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Accountable for effectively planning, organizing, and maintaining overall landscape to ensure the stable management of the organization’s cloud infrastructure.Role ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities
- Responsible for the evaluation and implementation of cloud strategy and architecture
- Support day to day operations of cloud infrastructure, to ensure security and stability.
- Responsible for defining system requirements in alignment with application architects and owners.
- Responsible for third party support team(s)
- Responsible for generating scripts and templates required for the automatic provisioning of resources
- Discover standard cloud services offerings, install, and execute processes and standards for optimal use of cloud service provider offerings
- Responsible for monitoring the consumption of cloud resources, request fulfillment turnaround, application performance, and systems security posture.
Team relationship
- Vendor Management – Ability to work with managed infrastructure teams on shore – offshore support teams.
- Direct management of internal reports
- Involved activities with other Support Leads, Support Partner, Third Parties, and other IT Infrastructure Groups
QualificationsQualifications & ExperienceEducation – Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
Certifications – MS Azure Administrator Associate/GCP Cloud Engineer
Level of Experience: Minimum 15 years systems experience include 5 years managing, designing, and delivering cloud infrastructure solutions. Consulting background preferred.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to develop and present initiatives or proposals to audiences that include Business or IT leads. Experience of driving technical teams through to delivery.Core CompetenciesWork in tandem with our Security and platform teams to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company
Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of quality and design
Excellent logic and reasoning skills to assist in troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures.
Project management methodologies and delivery.SkillsWindows – architecture, maintenance, and administration of Windows servers
Linux – architecture, maintenance, and administration of Linux servers
Database – cloud database management including MySQL
Programming – General programming skills with knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Java, Python, Ruby, Golang, PHP and .NET.
Containerization – Very familiar with containerization tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiar with Infrastructure as code (IaC) and specific understanding of Terraform
Extensive experience with Active Directory and group policy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in an extremely fast paced and nimble environment.
Ability to work and communicate effectively in a distributed global team environment.
Display strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to meet objectives with little or no direct supervision.
