Community Operations is pioneering how Uber interacts with users around the globe. We support all Uber business lines and propositions (Mobility verticals like Rides, Hailables, High-Capacity Vehicles; Delivery verticals like Eats and Grocery; and specific propositions like Uber for Business) and cover a broad range of activities, including customer service, platform safety, new partner onboarding, sales, compliance and account management.In your role as a Senior Manager in the EMEA CommOps Business Planning and Performance team, you will have the direct ability to contribute to the success and trajectory of EMEA CommOps. You will assist Leadership in making strategic decisions through tackling complex problems, surfacing insights with robust analysis and building the right operating models to anticipate future challenges. This senior individual contributor role demands strong analytical skills and strategic vision, influencing cross-functionally and the ability to clearly communicate and present information to senior stakeholders.What you’ll do

  • Strategic Leadership: Serve as a strategic advisor to EMEA CommOps leadership on Financial and Operational performance trajectory, taking ownership of complex problem statements, influencing key stakeholders on course correcting actions, and driving strategic decisions at the highest organizational levels.
  • Financial Planning: Gather bottoms up inputs and top down guidance for the years ahead, model impact, assist leadership in assessing trade-offs and synthesize a coherent plan to meet financial obligations; through finding efficiencies and investing in alignment with Uber EMEA’s long-term strategic objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Partner with cross-functional teams to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities; develop actionable recommendations based on insights gathered and effectively communicate these insights to senior stakeholders. Work with teams to ensure improvement initiatives are implemented and monitor metrics post-implementation
  • Synthesis and Recommendation: Integrate various inputs (quantitative analysis, policy proposals, legal considerations, product briefs) to develop strategic recommendations and drive alignment across the organization.
  • Sophisticated financial modeling and forecasting: build models from scratch, improve existing models, and assemble business reality/dynamics and interactions into comprehensive models and demonstrate those to propose solutions and drive better decision making.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in strategy, operations, or consultancy, with a proven track record of leading large-scale, high-impact initiatives.
  • Advanced Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to tackle complex issues, perform root cause analysis and develop practical, scalable solutions in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong Financial Modelling skills: standard methodologies are second-nature, your models are efficient, scalable and intuitive.
  • Business and Financial Acumen: High degree of business and financial acumen, with a strong analytical skill set to solve problems using data.
  • Exceptional Communication: Outstanding communication and storytelling abilities to convey complex ideas clearly and compellingly.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Proven ability to build and manage relationships with senior leaders, influencing and driving decisions at the highest levels of the organization.
  • Collaboration Skills: Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse and cross-functional business leaders. Experience working in a highly matrixed multinational organization with a global, regional and/or local set up will be beneficial.
  • Customer lens: Ability to understand customer implications of financial and planning decisions and trade-offs.
  • Ideal Industry and Functional Experience that will be advantageous: B2C; Tech and/or Marketplace Industry. Customer Support Functional Experience. Fast paced, high growth environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Advanced Degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong Data Analytics Skills, including proficiency in SQL.
