Company DescriptionProferro is part of Picanol Group, a business unit of Tessenderlo Group (Euronext: TESB).Job DescriptionAs Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will have technical responsibility for various work-center groups in our machinery fleet. This means that you will:

  • Proactively and preventively manage the relevant machinery so as to avoid any downtime and/or quality problems;
  • Be actively present on the work floor as a coach for the technicians and/or foremen;
  • Prepare, implement, and follow up on preventive and curative maintenance;
  • Closely monitor maintenance costs and budget, including setting up the structure and bill of materials (BOM) for each machine and ordering or stocking the necessary spare parts;
  • Communicate with the machine manufacturers and suppliers.

You will also function as a project manager for machinery fleet investment projects. This will entail:

  • Starting with a thorough, preliminary investigation, performed together with Production;
  • Contacting the most promising (external) partners and/or suppliers;
  • Preparing comprehensive cost estimates and budgets;
  • Supervising implementation, in detail, from start to finish.

You will work with a contemporary, varied machinery fleet and report to the Operations Manager.Qualifications

  • You should have a technical background with qualifications in Electromechanics/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience;
  • Knowledge of CNC, PLC, drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics would be considered a plus;
  • You should have a broad range of skills, including operational, financial and management skills;
  • You should feel comfortable in a production environment, really enjoy working in a team, and value being the driving force behind numerous projects;
  • You should be able to willingly shoulder responsibility and enjoy supporting your technicians and/or staff by imparting your own experience;
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is important and knowledge of German would be considered a plus.
