(Senior) Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary (m/f/d) in Vienna, Austria

Allianz Holding Eins is responsible for Central & Eastern Europe (CE) focusing on strategic development, planning and leadership for financial services sectors within the region. The region covers 11 countries in total Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine.

Job Purpose/Role

CE Legal and Compliance is advising regional management on all legal and compliance matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and restructurings, strategic partnerships, and implementation of group wide compliance policies.

Key Responsibilities

▪ Advising CE regional management on legal matters, including corporate law and restructurings.

▪ Managing supervisory board, ExCom and shareholder meetings of Allianz Holding eins, including document management. Corporate Secretary of CE Governance and Control Committee. ▪ Ensure appropriate governance in CE region and proper handling of board and shareholders’ meetings of respective local entities in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

▪ Research, monitoring and interpretation of legal and regulatory changes and developments in CE, with a focus on Austria.

▪ Implementing evolving regional operating model, identifying areas for improving effectiveness and efficiency, reducing complexity.

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

▪ Bachelor/Master in Law; degree in Austrian Law and experience would be an advantage

▪ Fluent in English and German. Business fluency in other languages in the CE region would be an advantage.

▪ Proficient user of Microsoft office package. Experience working with ORGS/Open Pages an advantage.

▪ Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills.

▪ Good ability to work autonomously within pre-defined parameters.

▪ Being resourceful: able to manage large responsibilities within a small team.

▪ Enjoy working in an international environment.

▪ Excellent team player and good communicator with distinctive social skills.

▪ Relevant professional experience, preferably in a global organization or law firm.

For this position we offer a monthly gross salary of at least EUR 80.000 gross (full-time basis). Overpay is possible in case of and depending on appropriate experience, qualifications and commitment.
