The Senior Legal & Compliance Adviser will be based in Bucharest, Romania. You will be reporting directly to the Director of Legal Ethics Compliance & Quality and will join a diverse team of passionate professionals.

The position

As a Senior Legal & Compliance Adviser, you will be responsible to guide internal stakeholders and manage local legal, ethics, and compliance matters, with a sharp focus on Obesity.

Your main accountabilities will be:

-Leading the implementation and assessment of legal strategies, policies, and procedures while addressing local legal requirements
-Collaborating closely with stakeholders like the Obesity Business Unit to drive Obesity LEC priorities, promoting local ownership and accountability for key Obesity goals
-Driving processes and initiatives to secure legal, ethics, and compliance by design and integration into decision-making within the affiliate’s Obesity Business Unit
-Driving risk management processes and initiatives related to Obesity, implementing adequate mitigating actions
-Actively participate in the International Operations (IO) LEC Obesity Team, sharing knowledge and best practices across IO regions and affiliates to enhance compliance excellence
 

Qualifications

As a Senior Legal & Compliance Adviser, you need to have multiple years of experience in a similar position, preferably 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, you need to have excellent communication skills and thrive in cross-functional environments. 

To be successful in this role, you should have:

-A Master’s degree in law from Romania, or another EU country, or a similar qualification
-Solution oriented mindset
-Proven track record in driving continuous improvement and change, along with the ability to stay up to date on changes in the legal & compliance field
-Strong business partnering and are able to build working relationships at all levels in a fast-paced working environment
-Positive attitude and can handle stress effectively, especially in high-pressure situations with strict timelines
-Proficiency in working with IT systems
-Fluency in English & Romanian
